Animal Control's mission is to allow pets, people, and other animals to coexist in harmony; and to assist animal owners and non-animal owners to a peaceful coexistence. Animal Control attempts in many ways to protect people and property from being damaged by roaming and uncontrolled animals. Also, Animal Control tries to protect animals and pets from the dangers that they can face while being loose in our urban setting.

WHAT DOES ANIMAL CONTROL DO?

Animal Control enforces the various City and State animal welfare laws and leash laws. We also respond to complaints of:
1 Noisy animal
2 Loose dogs
3 Animal neglect or abuse
4 Animal bites
5 Stray, sick, and/or injured animals
6 City Ordinances related to Animals Chapter 10

WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOU ARE BITTEN BY AN ANIMAL?

Call Animal Control (760-323-8151) or the Palm Springs Police Department (760-323-8116) as soon as possible. Attempt to get a good description of the animal and its location. If possible, try to find out who the owner is, where they live, and whether or not the animal has been vaccinated.
FOR ALL ANIMAL BITES, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

Tuesday: Closed to the Public

Wednesday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thursday: 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Friday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
