Vegas is feeling lucky!

Just a few days shy of Thanksgiving, a good citizen found a puppy lying lifeless on a neighborhood driveway. According to the citizen, there was a lot of blood and it looked as though there had been an attack. Our shelter director, Dr. Ahkami immediately examined him and found that his jaw was shattered and his body had experienced severe trauma. She named him Vegas, because she knew even though we were going to do everything we could to save him, we needed a little luck on our side to ensure he pulled through.

Thanks to our medical team, and your support, he did.

His jaw damage was so severe, he was unable to hold an implant, but you would never know he’s missing anything. After two months with his dedicated foster guardian, Vegas has blossomed into a bouncy little gentleman with a signature smirk and a heart of gold.

Today, Vegas is officially available for adoption!

We will be accepting adoption applications for Vegas today, January 20 until Friday, January 22 at 2 pm. Once all applications are in, our Shelter Director and Placement team will select the best match and notify his new family Friday evening.

To apply to adopt Vegas, visit our shelter to fill out an application and speak to our placement team. We will not accept adoption application online.
