RICK ERWIN PET FOOD BANK.

Opened in 2015, the Palm Springs Animal Shelter’s Rick Erwin Pet Food Bank provides over 5,000 pounds of pet food each year to pet owners in need. Its mission is to help pet guardians keep their pets during times of uncertainty and also reduce the number of animals being surrendered to the Shelter.

The Pet Food Bank currently partners with Mizell Senior Center’s “Meals on Wheels” Program and AAP Food Samaritans. Please contact these agencies for more information on how to qualify for their pet food programs.

The Pet Food Bank program provides dog and cat food to help you nourish your pets during times of need We can support the food needs of up to three pets per household. Our supplies and food brands fluctuate but the Pet Food Bank uses only food from unopened bags/containers that are not expired.

Our ability to provide food to the pets of people in need is due directly to the kindness of our donors and friends. Donations of wet and dry unopened pet food can be dropped off at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.

Monetary donations are always welcome and can be made online or mailed to the Shelter address.
