Every animal available for adoption has been fully examined by our medical staff and treated for any medical issues that are discovered. In addition, every animal is spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
Dogs are assessed by our dog trainer who can answer any questions you may have about training, current temperament or other new pet concerns you may have.
All pets adopted from Palm Springs Animal Shelter will not be released until they are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations.

Meet with an Adoption Counselor and spend time with the pet. Love at first sight is understandable, and is usually the real thing. However, we want to make sure you and the pet you’ve fallen in love with are a match that will last forever. Our Adoption Counselors are excellent matchmakers and trained to help you make the best decision on what pet is right for your lifestyle!
Complete the Adoption.
This is it, the home stretch! When you and your Adoption Counselor decide on a great match, you’ll have time to ask questions, get training tips, and talk about how to make the transition from shelter to your home successful.
If for any reason your new pet adoption doesn’t work out as planned, we are here for you. If we cannot help you find a solution for what ever challenge you have come upon, we will take the pet back.
All adoption fees collected assist in the daily care and ongoing needs of our animals. Every Adoption Fee includes: spay/neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, full medical exam, free follow up vet visit, discount on pet insurance and other perks from our community partners.
Dogs: $80 (Puppies $120)
